Sorry!

Sorry!

Well what can I say?

My performance up until this point has not been on point in terms of delivering regular consistent content, but at least I'm putting my hands up and admitting it (woohoo over here!). No excuses, just the realities of being a one woman show while trying to run a business as an artist. It's harder than you think!

"...woohoo over here!"

There really is a lot to do, keeping on top of things and keeping up as well. I'm not moaning at all, because this is something I've wanted to do and get the hang of for so long, I just forgot to add juggling to my repertoire...just artist, web designer, editor, copywriter, marketing manager, social media manager, coffee drinker, cat mother...you get the gist?

I just forgot to add juggling to my repertoire

Long story short, I just wanted to catch everyone up and move forward with purpose and determination. Oh - did I mention I work part-time as well? Yes, one of the reasons why I've been a bit MIA. I work in a not-for-profit cafe cooking up a storm in the kitchen, trying hard not to nibble on all the freshly made bakes (some by me). I work with an amazing team and meet an awful lot of dogs (oh my they are all so damn cute), I feel very lucky to have found the position. AND it's done an amazing job on my mental health - I sometimes forget I'm working because I'm having such a blast. Dancing round the kitchen, juggling tickets and basically multi-tasking for 6 hours. I love it!

I can hardly believe summer is coming to an end. Where did it go? With that comes another challenge. Although I love autumn and the warm colours it brings and the cozy feeling of wearing the first jumper of the season, it also means a shift in natural light consumption and a dip in my mood. It really is a balancing game, but something we can totally work with. Have you heard of SAD? It's one of those taboo things that people don't talk about so much, but really should.

Have you heard of SAD?

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a type of depression related to changes in season and typically starts and ends at the same time each year. I think a lot of people can relate, can you? I definitely can! Sometimes I just want to curl up in a dark room and sleep until next spring...

On that note, look out for my next blog, which is just a couple days away, as I will be sharing a fair few nice yet simple tips you can use to get you through the seasonal transition and really boost your feel good. When autumn finally arrives, you'll be ready for it and wanting to pounce on the beauty of the gorgeous warm colours and invigorating weather (hmmm? - yeah let's stay positive!).

I'll be back soon...with positivity!
