Artist Introduction

Reflecting back to when I was a child, art was the one singular thing that made me happy. It was also the only thing I thought I was good at. It's no wonder I came back to it to help me through a long dark period in my life. The vibrant energising abstract artworks I create now are my way of expressing good feelings, happiness and positivity.

Positivity is everywhere. My art doesn't just interpret experiences in my life I've turned around, it also captures moments, taps in to emotions and explores topics that promote healing, raises energy and increases positivity.

I love to use a mix of media in my work: torn paper, spray paint, acrylics, texture paste, watercolours, pens, metallic leaf...where ever the artwork takes me!

For too many years, I was in a bad place in terms of my mental health, which was fed by different events and experiences I didn't deal with very well. I developed quite a negative mindset with many areas of my life impacted by it.

Trauma can affect people in many ways and can be a long process in coming to terms with knowing how to work through it. One thing that worked for me was returning to my art. At first, I just loved getting lost in the process and the healing power I felt, but it was a temporary fix for the negative emotions that would eventually materialise again.

Now...I create purpose and power in my art, standing up for my well-being. I make art because I love it, I make art because it makes me feel better. I make art because it makes me feel positive and happy...and I want to pass that on to you. Why? Because you have the power to feel good too, always!

Most days you can find me...in my little studio working on something with a mug of coffee to hand and a fab view in to my small garden.

I am mostly known for...wearing my headphones listening to all sorts of music when I'm out and about.

People often refer to me as...a chameleon for my many different hairstyles over the years.

I love serving the world by...creating vibrant uplifting abstract artworks that promote your 'feel good'. Positivity is everywhere!

The things I am most passionate about in life are...

  1. Coffee - things just feel better in the morning after my two mugs a day!
  2. Using my art to help other people find their 'feel good' and raise their positivity and energy.
  3. Working on my health and fitness
  4. Hummus...just love the stuff!
  5. Chilled out get togethers with other humans
  6. My home which is my safe space, my bubble, the place I can relax and have no worries...with my cats.

I love serving the world by creating vibrant energising artworks filled with positivity and good energy.

Somewhere down the line, we all have those negative feelings we can’t ignore but want to avoid. I see my art as a tonic to those downdays, a reminder that positivity is all around us and that healing is not considered gold dust, but in reach to us all.

Small things and little wins can matter more than you think, so if my art makes you smile, stops you in your tracks, releases a memory, fills a void, makes you feel good or solves a problem...then I have happily contributed in a part of your journey.

I just hope I can bring some level of connection, balance or comfort to you XxX

When I'm not busy working on my art you can catch me...

  • Working in a community cafe, cooking up a storm.
  • Reading a book sitting somewhere quiet with a coffee and wearing some cozy slippers.
  • De-weeding the garden and visualising how awesome it's going to look next season.
  • Potentially thinking about my next tattoo
  • Off on a walk somewhere - I love the countryside and the sea, as long as there is some fresh air.
  • Dreaming about my next travelling adventure!
  • Playing with my cats

If you're dying to hear more little nuggets, here are 5 things you might not know about me.

  1. I am mostly an introvert with a speck of extrovert
  2. I eat a plant based diet (vegetarian, sometimes vegan)
  3. I used to train for roller derby, and snowboard, but injured myself & had surgery 3 times
  4. I love to knit scarves and cowls with chunky needles
  5. I was in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 - a very emotional experience all round.
